aking care of individuals with disabilities is a noble endeavor, but it can also lead to innovation and profit. This is why engineers and scientists continually strive to develop cutting-edge technologies to assist those in need. Oftentimes, individuals with disabilities themselves work to improve their own lives by inventing various mechanisms. One such invention is the Kenguru car.

Kenguru: The Car for People with Disabilities

he creators of this vehicle are a group of Americans who rely on wheelchairs for mobility. They decided to create a solution for themselves and others in need of fast transportation. What sets this car apart from others is the absence of a traditional seat, with the wheelchair itself serving as the seat. While cars for non-ambulatory individuals have been around for some time, they often require the individual to transfer from their wheelchair, which can be inconvenient. With the Kenguru, it's a whole new experience. Using remote control, the rear door opens, allowing the owner to simply drive into the car in their wheelchair.

Technical Specifications

he Kenguru is an electric car with a battery range of approximately 100 kilometers on a full charge. It can reach a maximum speed of 50 km/h. The dimensions are as follows: length – 2 meters, width – 1.5 meters, weight – 500 kg. The body is made of durable carbon plastic, making the car relatively lightweight and warm in winter. Instead of a traditional steering wheel, the Kenguru is equipped with a motorcycle-like handlebar, allowing for scooter-like control.

he price of this car ranges from $7,000 for Chinese-made models to $12,500 for American-made versions. Despite the cost, the Kenguru has already provided many individuals with the freedom of movement.
