BIOCIDE — (from Greek bio - life, and Latin caedere - to kill) an international crime against humanity involving the intentional and mass destruction of human life and the natural environment using weapons of mass destruction (WMDs). Unlike ecocide, it specifically targets living beings, often utilizing biological or chemical weapons.
